The strategic innovation program Smarter Electronic Systems conducts two calls annually. One larger for research and innovation projects and one smaller for feasibility studies.

Feasibility studies 2023

This call is aimed at feasibility studies for major research and innovation projects that are expected to result in new electronic components and systems, in areas of Swedish excellence.

Opening date: June 12, 2023
Application deadline: September 14, 2023 at 2 p.m.
Date of decision: November 8, 2023
Project start date: November 13, 2023 at the earliest

Research and innovation projects in 2023

The call is aimed at consortia that develop innovative solutions and new knowledge in the application area Embedded Intelligent Systems, based on industrial needs regarding manufacturability, robustness or energy efficiency. The projects must have at least two participants, of which at least one company. Universities, university colleges and research institutes can also participate

Opening date: January 16, 2023
Application deadline: March 14, 2023 at 2 p.m.
Date of decision: May 25, 2023
Project start date: July 3, 2023 at the earliest

Breakfast seminar
On January 26, Vinnova invites you to a breakfast seminar where opportunities for funding in the field of electronic components and systems (ECS) are presented. The meeting takes place at Lindholmen Sciencepark in Gothenburg and also digitally. Take the opportunity to meet project managers from Vinnova, program managers and potential project partners.
